Life in Black & White

The author herself describes this book as “a collection of personal musings and stories that has no pretensions whatever to literary merit.” In actual fact the poetry is both moving and wide-ranging, from spring in Ireland to winter in 3eac0da2-5b10-4319-affa-03487e22343eAuschwitz. It covers love, pain, birth, death – but, above all, a zest for life. The stories here are fictional but some are based on actual happenings in an Ireland that bears little resemblance to the Ireland of today. One of these stories was shortlisted for the Hennessy Awards.
